This week has been a slow and healing week, which is really nice for a change. I wanted to first give a shout out to all of you who have been following my blog and say thank you very much for all the love and support. The response I received for my article on How To Get Your Child To Eat (Almost) Anything was overwhelming and I am deeply encouraged.
Kevin and I completed a our juice fast yesterday and we'll be heading into cooler, higher altitudes, camping at Frazier Park CA. What better way to start our newly cleansed body in nature. A friend of ours hosts an annual fun-filled family event on his land and there's live music, tie-dye station, slip n slide, overnight camping, fire pit, deep pit home BBQ, kite flying and they make Sunday breakfast for us! This year we are going with our dear friends and their two kids who will be camping for the first time and we are excited to hang out and be merry. What are you doing this weekend?
Here's some interesting things I found around the internet this week:
I am trying this recipe once I come home from camping. All through my fast I salivate at the thought of it. And this, and this too!
My favorite cookware came up with some great new colors for fall, which means other seasonal colors would likely be going on clearance soon!

20 Foods rich in calcium that vegans eat. No.11 is my favorite.
There are so many beautiful pictures floating around, but this photographer really caught my eye because of the way he captured a city I spent much of my life in. And the way Heather Evens Smith captured her daughter in her series "Seen Not Heard" - hauntingly mesmerizing. Kevin and I have tried to capture lightning before. But never got it like this!
In light of the summer heat, our drought and looking at my struggling plants, these saboten from their newly opened store in Downtown LA look terribly inviting.
The one thing we fantasize of, is getting a trailer for our adventures and I love looking at how people repurpose old, funky, beaten up airstreams and transform them into beautiful, functional living spaces.
If you love modern furnishings, here's some Noguchi eye-candy for you.
I was inspired after reading her take on watching her kids play sports. Gave me something to think about when it's time to enroll Kyan into his first sport.
A really comprehensive comparison here on the four most popular progressive education for young children.
