How often do you brush your child's hair? Me? Not as often as I should! I don't brush my hair everyday so I am not good at remembering I have to brush Kyan's hair. Often when he looks like he needs a brush, it is already too late. Kyan has long, fine hair which we keep thinking about cutting. Now that he's older and has his own opinions, he's insisting he wants it long.
Long hair plus long road trips equals a nest on his head. We try to brush it out as gently as we can and use a leave-in-conditioner tonic spray which really helps. We also have a secret weapon, the Tangle Teaser which my friend, the beauty accessories expert, Pearly, recommended us. I keep one in my purse for emergency brushing so I don't look like I'm neglecting my child (or myself). You can find them here or they sell a variation of Tangle Teaser for a little cheaper at TJ Maxx.
These are especially handy to have around especially after a trip to the beach or pool. They are hideous looking, but they work! Brushing his hair out, wet or dry is so much easier now and he complains of painful tugging a lot less.
Do you have one? How does it work for you? Would you try it on your child?
